Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as cold laser therapy, photobiomodulation or red light therapy, is a form of medicine that uses low-level lasers or light-omitting diodes to treat a variety of conditions.LLLT uses energy instead of thermal energy.  The light triggers biochemical changes within the cells, which can be compared to photosynthesis in plants.  The light only affects damaged cells so there is no side effects.LLLT can help relieve pain and inflammation by stimulating healing and cellular processes.  It can be used to treat minor injuries and sprains, such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, tendonitis, bursitis, tennis elbow, neck pain, back pain, knee pain - any place on the body.

The skin generally responds well to the various levels of near-infrared wavelengths to help restore and remove scar tissue.

Deep scar tissue from most surgeries can be completely removed if therapy begins within appropriate timeline following surgery and requires consistent therapy to prevent the formation of scar tissue.
